Age UK's Act Now, Age Better Age UK is back with Act Now, Age Better, encouraging people aged 50+ to take steps towards a healthier, more active later life. With support from sport and physical activity partners, the campaign highlights how moving more can help reduce health risks, improve wellbeing and support stronger, fitter ageing for longer. A Family's Journey Through Autism Diagnosis And Care
Autism is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects how people communicate, process information and experience the world. It can impact social interaction, sensory processing and responses to change, with each person affected differently.
We share Joanne’s story, an Islington Carers Hub member caring for her two children with autism and complex health conditions, as they navigate diagnosis, education and ongoing support needs. Find out about the challenges they experienced, but also what helped.
Autism and Learning Disabilities Support

Carers British Museum Visit
Friday 29 May, 2-4pm British Museum, Great Russell Street, London WC1B 3DG Join the Community Partnerships team in this special visit to the British Museum and find out how different objects provide people with comfort or offer protection. Explore how pieces of clothing or jewellery have been used to inspire a sense of identity and belonging to their owners and how objects linked to faith or spirituality provide reassurance and comfort. Carers 4 week online meditation study
A new voluntary study from London Met University is inviting unpaid carers aged 18+ to take part in a 4-week online mindfulness meditation programme designed to support wellbeing. Participants complete brief daily exercises and short questionnaires. The study is confidential, flexible and fully online. Click below for further details and find out how to take part.
