How to deal with restrictions in the register

We see a lot of applications seeking to disapply or modify a restriction in the title register where this is either incorrect or unnecessary. In this blog, senior practitioners consider how best – from HM Land Registry's point of view – to tackle restrictions that are no longer fit for purpose.

Help us improve the portal – we need your views

We’re currently reviewing portal design and navigation, and we’d love to hear from you. There are two groups of people we are particularly interested in.

If you’ve been using the portal for less than six months, can you share your experience of finding your way around it? Ideally, we would like to hear how you have got on with Enquiries and Applications.

If you are an experienced user of the portal, can you share your experiences using its main features? We are particularly interested in hearing about how you have got on with Application Tracking or Cancellations.

Participation is very straightforward and completely anonymous. Please email lisa.brooker@landregistry.gov.uk and we’ll arrange an online research interview. The interview should take around 30 minutes and will be done at a time to suit you. If you’re happy to share your screen during the session, we’d love to see how you use the portal in practice.

Thank you for helping us shape a better portal experience.

HM Land Registry launches new APIs to save customers time

APIs are software components that automatically update data between HM Land Registry and our customers. The update will ensure a more reliable and flexible service for those developing software through the introduction of new APIs with a modern ‘RESTful architecture’.
