Updates

Celebrating Alzheimer’s Month through the Power of Music: To mark World Alzheimer’s Month 2026, we’re celebrating the impact of the Power of Music Fund. The fund supports local groups and organisations across England that use music to improve the lives of people living with dementia.

Movement on Prescription Webinar Series launch: How can primary care, social prescribing and physical activity partners work together to help create more active communities? Supported by Sport England, our new webinar series will explore practical ways to strengthen local pathways, improve access to movement and demonstrate impact - building effective pathways through primary care teams, link workers, Active Partnerships and physical activity providers.

The Strategic Forum for Neighbourhood Health and Social Prescribing: The Forum provides a dedicated space for system leaders, commissioners, public health professionals and VCFSE leaders to strengthen and champion social prescribing as a core component of Neighbourhood Health. We held our first session on the 23rd September. If you have a system leadership or planning role in public health, integrated care, prevention, health inequalities or community-based support, we'd love to hear from you.

Launch of the revised green social prescribing toolkit: From walking groups and community gardening to conservation volunteering and outdoor arts and culture, Green Social Prescribing connects people with activities that support better health and wellbeing. The revised toolkit helps you develop Green Social Prescribing in your area. Designed for regional leaders - find out how to build partnerships, strengthen referral pathways, and expand and embed social prescribing.
